Top secret build plans exposed!!!! (tons of pics)

You won't mind the vibration, noise and rattling? Just seems.....pointless to me.

Please don't think I'm knockin your build. You've got a pretty sic rig there. I think you should ditch the 42's though....47" LTB's are bad asss.:eek1: :D

I never knew that the extra slip would cause any noise or rattling. As long as its not excessive it wont matter too much. Or if it does I'll just have to rev the BB a little higher lol.

As far as the 42's go I will run them for a while. I have had the thought of bigger tires enter my head though :D

Actually the axles that you see in the pics are for sale right now because they have 4.56's in them. There is a set on Kyles truck identicle to mine only with 5.13's in them so I'll be using them instead. The 4.56's would have been fine with the BB and the 42's but then I started thinking "hmm...what would happen if I needed 49's?" lol. The 4.56's didn't look deep enough anymore.

There is some pretty hardcore snow guys around here. Like blown 640 Merlin guys with 44"+ tires that I would like to run with eventually so I can definitely forsee some bigger rubber.

Constructive critisism is always welcomed :wink1:

The spring rates are going to be a little tricky due to the multipurpose use of the rig. The ones in the pic are 400/250 front and 350/250 rear. We'll use these to start and then play with them once the truck is drivable. I want to keep it flexy for the rocks but at the same time I can't have it bottoming out hard when I air it. I'm really not too sure what I will end up with when its all said and done.

We'll probably end up playing with the compression valving to help with jumping so I can keep the springs a little softer.

did you say 100 ea for h2 rims?
man i paid 45 ea for 5 on one deal
and 500 for a set of 4 with new tires full chrome ones

Have you considered Rockwell 2.5 ton axles for your build? With your plans for big and bigger tires along with a torque-monster motor, Dana axles (except the D135!) will barely be able to handle the load, especially when you go to a such a small pinion gear (5.13).

The only reason I'm not slapping rockwells or mogs under the truck is because I want to do the high speed jumping and desert running too. I don't think the extra unsprung weight would be very good for that. Plus the larger tires would be used in the snow which is very low traction so not much chance for breakage to occur. We'll see how my wheeling changes once I'm behind the wheel of this beast. It's gonna be a whole new world now lol.

Hydraulic bumps have been in the plan since the beginning.

Those H2 rims are probably a lot more plentiful down south than they are here but even so I paid 400cnd to Rene which is more than he paid for them (he stored them for me) I think he paid 360 for them so with the exchange it would be about 310 or so. Not too bad.

ha ha nope I thought it was in the retarded long list at the start but I guess I missed them.

Yeah having hydro bumps is where its at as soon as any part of your rig goes airborne.

EVO Joints are the ****in' shizzle. Good looking rig mang. I like the front 3-link that keeps the reverse high steer. Very cool front end set up.

Yeah those Evo joints rock man. I was blown away at just how huge they were. Definitely beefy.

And thanks for the props on the front end. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. The only real major issue ended up being the engine crossmember contacting the panhard. New low profile crossmember and the problem was solved.

Max, How did I miss this thread? Anyways glad to see some pic's up finally. Your rig is going to be SICK!! I wish I was going to the Bash in 07', but it's not looking llike it due to a family cruise vacation thing we are taking.
