I'm sure a few people have been wondering what's been going on with my build so I figure I can let you guys see a bit of progress.

This build up started with about 3 years of research and planning and it finally got to the point where I had to take it to a fabrication shop to do all the major fab work. So here goes..

The list so far..

3 link front with a panhard bar w/14” King coilovers
Dual triangulated 4 link rear w/16” King coilovers
All upper links are 2” .250 wall
All lower links are 2.5” .375 wall :eek1:
1 ¾” Evolution heim joints
Wheelbase extended to 119.5”
42” Iroks on H2 rims
Rear disc conversion
Axle trusses
NWF flanges
35 spline chromo stub shafts
5.13 cogs
Dynatrac diff covers
Shaved 14bolt
Front shaft is 1410 - 1410 .120 wall, 20” slip
Rear shaft is 1350cv - 1410 .250 wall, 20” slip
T-case parking brake
NWF 203/205 doubler kit clocked flat w/ all 32 spline upgrades
Cable shifters for triple stick shifter
Perfectly flat belly skid plate
Rebuilt hydro 465
Mastercraft prerunner seats for the front
PRP seats for the rear
5 Point harnesses all around
Custom fuel cell
Custom bumpers tied into fender flares tied into boatsiding
Warn 12000lb winch
Synthetic winch line
Aluminium fairlead
In cab winch controls
Added a front detroit
Cross-over and reverse high-steer
PSC Hydro assist, steering box, high flow pump and resevoir
Triple optima yellow top batteries

So that’s what’s paid for and this is what is still to come..

Ram-jet 502 (502hp and 565lb/ft of torque)
Luk Pro-Gold clutch
Full Cage
Full convertible conversion
Soft-top
Truck tailgate
Chromo inners
CTM’s
Custom dash
Full assortment of autometer gauges
OBA
On-board Welder
HID lights
Hydro Bumps

I’m sure I’ve forgotten some of the stuff but you get the idea.

I'll add the pics to the next post.

Max, good to hear from you, we missed you in October. So, when you're all done, will she still be Brown Betty?

16" travel, king tripple rate coilovers

Rear links in place. disc rotors on.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm genuinely curious how you pay for all this? I know how the doubler worked. :wink1:

The build up sounds awsome! You'll have a sic truck when its done, especially since it sounds like you're keeping the K5 sheetmetal.

Sweet Pics

baldy_155.jpg

The truck is on a hoist but this is 1" past full droop in the rear. We flexed it all out and came to the conclusion that we could have used a 24" travel shock in the rear. We're gonna stick with the 16" for now and see is I really end up needing the extra 2' of travel lol.

baldy_157.jpg

The rear truss and dual triangulated 4 link.

baldy_156.jpg

Same as above with the truck on the hoist. Yes the tires are on backwards but its not permanent. :wink1:

baldy_158.jpg

Front 3 link. No panhard installed in the pic.

By the way, Claudia sez hi, and this is all cool, but have you replaced that hacksawed bolt in the clutch linkage? :D

He sells drugs...

:haha: :haha:

Kidding of course. As far as I know he is pulling down some serious cash working in the Alberta Oil patch. Hard work, big money...cool toys.

:D I don't sell drugs, the drugs sell themselves lol.

No seriously rene had it right, I work for precision drilling. We do oil/gas exploration for the big companies (shell, conoco, etc) I break my body for them and they cut me a half decent check. I work 12 hour days for literally weeks straight with no time off. the overtime is where its at.

Lol no more bolt linkage for me, I have hydro clutch now :p:

I'll have to post up the replies to any questions a little later. I'm just about to run out the door. I'll also post up some more details on the truck and its build. For now enjoy the pics :waytogo:

Later

yeah its at NWF, and the hairy guy is jordan lol. He's not with NWF anymore though. He sold his share of the company. His replacements name is Mike. Great guy and excellent fabricator.

what if anything are you doing for bead locks?

I am torn, I feel the h1 is cheap and avilable, but the tire choice future seems a little bleek..

the h1 17's are out there but to bead lock them is spendy, thoughts?
