Traded my .38 SPL for a welder. Sweet update with pics! Time to weld!!!

if the bottle is servicable, that's awesome.. meaning if you can find someone who'll fill it... check for a name on it..

If its anything like my 20 lb Co2 tank, should be no problem. I get that filled once a month. Thanks!

Thanks. I'm going to learn to weld and then do sliders, rear bumper and other stuff I don't even know yet. Can't wait.

Nice score. When you start to learn with it pieces of scrap are your friend. Start with learning how to write your name on steel so you learn to watch your puddle. Then start making metal stick. A $20 book can be invaluable for starting, and a good first project is a rolling welding table.

Thanks for the tips. Dang, Jeff Carpenter is a long name! I cant wait to learn. I will be watching youtube videos and reading. I am going to get a bunch of scrap to practice on. Cant wait!!!!!

I still have the piece of plate with "dremu" welded on it in the shop. Mind you, the plate is very ... clean... cuz the first, you know, dozen or so tries didn't happen right, were flapped or ground off. But that last one was pretty good :haha:

Writing your name on steel sounds stupid easy, but on occasion we make our friends that always say " how hard can welding be" do it and they gain a whole new respect. The answer to them is how hard can it be to write you name you've done it like a million times before.

Doing the trade now. Getting ready to go to the gun shop to put it in his name. Stoked!!!!

Looks like its in great condition. We tested it today. I welded for a few minutes. Sounds awesome.

I wish I could. I need the garage wired for 220 first. I need to buy a helmet and some basic welding tools also. Probably won't happen for a week or so.

Why do you need 220 in the garage? Just weld in the laundry room :)

i rented a house when i was young where I had my compressor in the laundry room so I could use the dryer outlet..
