The car is an '87 Buick Century. You move the shifter and nothing happens. Any ideas? I haven't looked at the car yet, so I don't know if its as easy as a broken shifter cable.
The shifter cable will be a ground path if other grounds are bad, and it will actually melt the cable in half in some cases. Should be pretty simple diagnosis with eyes on though. Could be as simple as a clip slipped off and then the cable.
