Transmission just lost 3rd gear

The converter let go , pulled a silver ring out the converter when I dropped it off to rebuilder

Sounds like the front bearing on the converter stator let loose, that destroys the converter and pumps metal through the trans like no other. A bad combination for sure.

Ya that’s what he said, $1440 new kickdown cable new dipstick tube and dipstick.

can I flush the cooler with that “Kooler Klean”
(Green and white can) good enough to run the trans cooler?

Hey Greg,,,, what's your view on using a spin on filter in the return line in place of or in conjunction with the pan filter?

I have done this on all my slush pump's and they seem to catch a lot of small trash and shavings.
My buggy has a T400, and I run a deep cast pan, forced air tubular cooler, spin on filter and braided hoses with high flow fittings...
Good combination?

@Greg Ducato

My theory is that if you have so much contamination in your system that you need an extra filter then you have problems in the trans or converter that need correction. Most stock filter systems will last the life of the trans, only clogging if there is a serious parts failure. While there is nothing wrong with adding an additional filter, I would rather spend the money on an extra cooler.

2 can of flush should be good . thay last much longer than brake clean . and more foamy for deep clean .

up to you tho . no such thing as over kill . :rotfl::haha:

what size is the cooler lines on t350? is it 5/16" inverted flare or 1/2" inverted flare?
