I agree with you bro - You have one of my favorite rigs on this site!

Your RigRater Score:
963RRv1.0
Your Break-Over Angle (BOA) is 25.61 degrees!

That is interesting but more schoolbook then real life. Thanks for the link. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's not like I built my truck just to get a high "rigrater" score, It just seemed to be what Branndon was talking about and I remembered seeing it in chit-chat a while back.

sorry shaggy if i gave you that impression, i do think that mogs are awesome just for the strength, gearing and clearance, but i realize they arent for all applications. I was going to put something to do with tire size also, but diffrent sizes do better in different areas. My point of the post i guess was just to see who liked what more than maybe what they already had, kinda like a " what would you love to have or hate to have" i dunno, i was bored last night /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

I think it isn't detailed enough to distinguish whats good and bad. There is all kinds of little things that I know some of you have that isn't listed. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

[quoteWhat about if all your bling is in the interior? I have a billet dash, billet shaved vents and billet shaved door inserts where the stock pull straps used to be /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

[/ QUOTE ] BLING IS EVIL! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

does all that billet crap help you when you're up to your rockers in mud? does it make your suspension flex more? what does it do for traction? i'm not real sure, but i thought this was an off road website, not a show truck website. BTW, if you're looking for a good show truck website try www.fullsizechevy.com or www.pavementsucks.com

DIfferent strokes for different folks. Last I checked this was a K5 site with no disclaimer about not allowing billet. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

I'm sure what you said holds true for yourself, not for many other people here at CK5. For some, having a nice good looking truck is just as important as it being capable offroad. Whether it is "bling" that makes it nicer or a good paint job, nice rims, yada yada...doesn't mean that should be counted against them and it should be counted for him if anything. Bullet has his own truck that belongs to him and it was up to him if he wanted nice interior trim or not, not your decision and he doesn't, or anyone else, need you telling that bling is evil. No, his interior doesn't help him get out when "he's up to his rockers in mud"...obviously because thats not what it's their for, it's there to look nice and help the quality of the truck increase which is just important as anything else. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How would it sound if I said..."why would you wan't black rims, cut fenders, rattle can paint jobs...it doesn't help your truck look any better. If it doesn't make your truck look nicer in some way it is EVIL." Sounds pretty stupid doesn't it. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

i fully agree,if it does what you intended it to do WTF badass. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.giflike we talked about in an earlier post,i don't want to have to drag a toy everywhere.i want to drive it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

yeah, now that i think about it a little more, it does sound pretty stupid. but, you have have to admit, 95% of the guys here wheel their trucks, and have more functional mods than they do cosmetic mods. my truck will probably have chrome mod wheels very similar to the black rock crawlers that many guys run. why? because every truck i've ever owned with the exception of my 91 has had a set of them at one time or another. and as for the rattle can paint job, it will sport it for a VERY short time, if at all. i dont see anything wrong with either of these "mods" as you might call them. the wheels are going to be 3" wider than stock, so they'll be more functional than stock, and you can hardly call a $50.00 wheel bling. as for the paint, i dont want to look like a complete hillbilly driving around looking like i just got my new paint job at WalMart. a good quality paint job is hardly considered "bling" when all you're doing is returning it to factory colors.

however, the post does mention a "badass-ness scale". when you say the term badass referring to a 4x4 truck or SUV, whichever the case may be, i tend to associate it with other words too. words like hardcore come to mind. most hardcore rigs that i've come in contact with have to much money wrapped up in winches, beefy drivetrains and safety mods to worry about whether or not their billet dash trim matches their billet grab handles or whatever. as was said earlier, different stroke for different folks...

[/ QUOTE ] I was just using that last paragraph of mine as an example with the tables turned, no need to explain yourself cuz I wasn't holding you to the wheels, or paint deal. I agree 100% that a nice paint job is just that...nice,not "bling."
I think the term "bling" gets over exadjurated, to me bling has always been spinaz wheels, euro lights, neon, 4848753 shaded and striped paint jobs, etc etc., crap you see on imports. Sorry to make a big deal out of it, I just wanted to point out that nice features shouldn't be called useless because they don't help you get unstuck, they just serve their purpose differently. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm cool with everything now. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

When are these senseless arguements going to end? Nobody is going to sway rjfguitar to the hardcore side. Try all you want, but you're just wasting your time.
