Nobody is going to sway rjfguitar to the hardcore side. Try all you want, but you're just wasting your time.

How about I bend over so you can kick my ass. Don't run your mouth saying what functional and what's not. Just an overview on what I run in comparrison to what you have, I think you should keep your mouth shut buddy /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

Yes, bling is not functional and means nothing, but I am for dang sure that my 1 ton, dual detriot'd, 5.13 geared suspension makes up for the blingage.

And on another note, I do have a lot of money tied into my truck interior and exterior. Money which I busted my butt for to earn from digging ditches and construction work. Why not have some creature comfort and something pleasing to the eye to look at when you sit in the driver seat, since that is where I spend most of my time, instead on my back trying to fix that 10 bolt which I lost over two years ago.

I didn't go through and read all the posts so if this has been said, then I guess its a repeater.

No matter what you "rate" your rig in numbers - it never equates to how it performs offroad.

Agreed, too many intangibles and variables that a rating system will never take into account. Factor in driver skill and all the numbers are out the window.

This is true.

I hve this Video from CORR that has this rock, wood, bridge thing that you had to go through in one of the events that they held. There are some really built rigs that had to fight their way through. This guy in a white Blazer with 35 or 36 inch tires drove right through. It was very entertaining.

I think I have pretty much all the hard core badass stuff on my rig thats out there (of course theres more) but now should I look down on myself because I went with the bling on my seats? I had to run 4 mastercrafts for safety and comfort and thats all the bling I got. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I dont think Bling Bling belongs on the trail. This pic is a good example. Notice the Visor and the Wheel trim? This guy is a joke.

yeah I bet if you didnt have that chrome trim you would have been able to drive up that without a winch /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

What makes a truck bad ass?

It's not what you got...
Its how you use it.

I think the only reason he even tried that trail was that he had a "ColoradoK5.com" fender sticker, hell that's worth 10 style points right there, not to mention added HP and traction. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

This is true. I would not have even tried it without them. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I might have to get some more. My front armor is covering up about half of it now. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Bullet, i didnt intend to talk down on you or your truck directly. i was speaking in general terms. i've run into several guys, who when they find out that i'm only going with 6" of lift laugh at me. why? because their 12" all spring lift and already crammed 44s will way outdo me off road, or so they think. there are alot of guys out there that think just because its big, means its great off road, which just simply isnt true. i dont doubt that you've put a lot of hard earned money into your truck. i've personally got about $1750 into mine, including the trans and transfer case i'm picking up next weekend, and i still dont have driveshafts, wheels, or tires yet. my rig will have a 10 bolt in the front for a while, but its only because i got a screaming deal on it, and its geared right. BTW, i have also worked my @$$ off for the money i have into my truck. i just happen to work on $750,000+ motorhomes all day.
