Truckasaurus. The rebirth and resurrection of a fallen legend

Yes, email me at [email protected]

Got the trans back in and all connected up. Started it up and stoked to see it working. Rough week and it has been hotter than hell here so it was like working in an oven.

One of the plug wires was arcing pretty good. Think I know why. Sucks. These are brand new msd wires. Gonna call them tomorrow

yea, I called MSD this morning. They are going to send me another wire about an inch shorter. Pretty cool of them.

Finally. This thing has been on back order for ever! Derale trans cooler.

Soooo close to being driveable

Also got the hellroaring isolator / combiner in and pretty much finished. Just need to connect up the batteries.

I complimented your clean wiring before, but I'll compliment it again. Good Job :waytogo:

Thanks guys. I have spent a ton of time on all the routing and layout. Starting from scratch made it a lot simpler too.

I was able to get the wrap bars welded up and painted. Installed those back under the truck today. For those of you watching the TTC, there is a shot of a blazer during the truck pull that is getting crazy crazy wrap. Looks like he is set to break the leafs. I want to eliminate that on my truck.

DIY4x Wraptor for the win.

I also worked on the Derale Cooler. Despite how small it is I wanted to find a protected area for it and there is a lot of stuff going on under the hood. Best place ended up being driver side. I now need to order more braided line, but it came out good. I but up some diamond plate for a little platform for it and bolted that to the wheel liner.

It doesn't look like it but it is rock solid in that location. I bought an inline thermostat that I need to wire up also.

The hell roaring install is complete. I love this thing. Great protection from electrical starting issues. One setting the isolator / combiner charges both batteries but only draws from the main. One setting it combines the batteries into one pool of POWER. I love the fact that I could kill the main and still have another fully charged AGM battery to start the truck with and therefore charge up the dead one too!!

You can see the Hellroaring on the firewall with the 2 GA going to it. I have the remote to which is wired up to the dash allowing me to monitor the batteries and swap them on the fly

Have a little work to do with the intake!

I knew when I swapped to the soft top that I would like to find a truck tailgate and a few months ago I was rear ended and the guy damaged my tailgate. Kinda made it a no brainer to swap out to the truck tailgate as I wouldn't need the glass anymore.

I ended up finding one in a local junkyard from a 78 GMC.

It has been sitting in my garage for a while but this week I sanded it down, primed it, and painted it. Installed it today. I freakin dig the way this thing looks.

Stoked.

quite a bit lighter than the glass window blazer one it is replacing

Yea pretty stoked on it. Cleans and slims up the back a little bit. My old tailgate was a pita to open. This one is a lot easier.

On another note, this was on my doorstep when I got home. Hell yea!

I think we are in bizness.
Some one ton goodness from HAD
