Truckasaurus. The rebirth and resurrection of a fallen legend

Damn that is a nice rig.. love it man!

Who'd you use for the driveline? I might need one built.. unless I brave up and make it myself.

I used Powertrain industries in Ventura. They were the hookup. Really know what they are doing. Are totally competent with 4x4 and rock crawlers and know our angles and needs. If you hit up William, he will make it happen. Tell him I sent you and it might help $$

So, on my way back from my sierra trip, I picked up some road debris as detailed above. As BFG decided to discontinue this tire (the 38 KM2) and people who had 1 decided they wanted $1k for a tire it was in my best interest to just get four new. I wasn't too stoked at the sudden bill but can't be helped. I am gonna save two of the KM2's and use them on a M101A3 off road trailer build and keep one for a spare and sell the 37

ha ha yea, my grill trim is upside down. The back of the front has been trimmed pretty aggressively, it is not rubbing yet. I was rubbing on the front part of the rear but I have since cut that too.

The new tires look great! but it looks like your BFGs still had plenty of tread though :dunno:

Yea the km2 were great. Maybe 8k on them. Took some road damage to one of them and they don't make 38 anymore so had to replace them all. Sucks.

The tire size is a sickness. When I first got this truck in 1994 I thought 35 and four inch lift was perfect! Ha ha

Wow that changed the look a ton, freaking awesome.
Yea it made quite the difference. I think the thing is they are quite a lot bigger and with the limited lift I have it just makes it look solid. I hacked a lot but wanted to make it clean and keep the inner fenders.

Took the truck down to Baja for a week of beach camping, spear fishing, wheeling and hanging out. The wind was crazy fierce but we had a good time and truck rocked with over 1200 miles, half of those in Mexico. Kids and wife slept which is saying a lot when you consider the noise of the flow masters.
