Tuck Box Trailer build

ya that was the 1 thing i noticed with the insert in my truck was the weight i was lugging around a lot when i wasn't using it .

That's completely different. That's a heavy insert not a built in scissor and hydraulic cylinder/pump

I have had two different dumps. My k30 dump truck I have now. And I had a 78 k20 I put a dump on.
Can understand what your saying, but the weight isn't much. The usability of the dump far outweighs the weight concerns. At for me.

I look at it like this. Think about cleaning your horse pens.
Grab the truck. Load some horseshit and drive to the dump spot and dump.

Or hook up a trailer, load, dump, unhook. Small time difference I know but can be appreciable depending on how much you use it.

yes true ....... but my dump insert trailer sits a LOT lower than the k30 with dump insert does .

so tossing stuff up / in is a lot less work .

its all in use / personal flavor / end product needs that make the choice all on the end user .

I appreciate both options and I'm still debating both options. Either way I need a bigger tractor to load it. So I have some time to decide. I could always build a different rig as a wheeler as well. I have no shortage of options, that is for sure.

That will do the trick. Still need a new solenoid for the lower button to work but I can drop it manually with the solenoid removed.

If i build anymore i plan to use trailer axle to get electric brakes . I have 2 axles now i have saved just for this . Otherwise just make sure tires and springs are good and lets tow :saweet:
