Tuff country 4 inch lift opinions

Thank you. It's not lifted right now, does have 32x11.50s on it though which I think look much better than 31s. Fit the wheelwells better. And I know I want to lift it at least 2 inches. Thinking about going 4 though. Before it gets lifted though I have 2 rust cracks in the rear frame to fix.

IMO unless you just like the lifted look or need the travel or flex room, run the 2".

Lower lift will always ride better and require less other upgrades

my 2 cents, I bought rough country 4 inch springs first because they were cheap. it hit really hard on every pothole on the highway to the point I didn't enjoy driving it any were. they did flex okay tho.
I then went tuff country and bilstiens, it became soft and my kidneys thanked me. I love driving it now.

I used a ORD shackle flip with my stock springs and shackle. I ran the stock drivelines for years and just dealt with the vibes. I would extend the front brake lines, mine got tight with just some droop. Ford shock towers are easy to throw on to extend front mounts.

I bought my springs from sd truck springs.com they shipped for free and that made the price much better.

Ok, thanks for the advice on where to order. Just for $hits and giggles what should I run of I decide to go 2 inch lift? New tough country eZ ride 2 inch springs front and rear and 5100 shocks?

Wow I am glad to hear that, saw that the rear 2 inch TC springs are over 400, fronts are 300, shocks are 300. I can handle the front springs and a flip kit but no chance I'm paying over 1000 dollars for a 2 inch lift lol, and there's still tires...

I also put a R.C. 4" lift on my Suburban. It rides...meh. One thing about Rough Country lifts is the fact that they are actually a little taller than advertised. If you go with Tuff Country, 4" lifts will clear 33's. A Rough Country lift will clear 35's no problem so it's more like having a 5" lift. I had to have a new front drive shaft built because my old one was just [---] that much too short fully extended on flat ground.

If I were to do it all over again, I'd go with the 2" Rough Country lift with all new springs because my wife and I aren't exactly giants and it's quite the climb for her......and me for that matter. :haha:
