UD Spring plates! These can be had for pretty much any axle/Ubolt configurations. Pictured are for the GM D60.

Little bit about the plates,

They are made of 1/4" thick steel. 45* bend on each end which stiffens the plate as well as creates a nice radius to ride against your spring rather than a sharp corner which will introduce a stress riser on your main leaf. Bad place for a stress riser. The plate is also boxed on the sides to stiffen it on the longitude. So, with this combination of bends and reinforcement it is much more rigid overall and comparable to thicker material without the dead weight. The center pin hole is slotted which will allow for the use of offsets.

On to the pictures.

These sell for $37 a set for most any applications such as 14 BoltFF, D60, HP60 flipped. Might be a bit more if you are looking to put a really huge axle under your ride. I'm sure there are some really large plates out there. :wink1:

Thanks. Been wanting to make some of these for quite sometime now but its hard to squeeze it all in.

Keep your eyes on this forum. Will be posting something interesting in the next day or so. A custom piece so not everybody will want them but pretty interesting none the less.

Any plans on making them with a taper, fvor those running shims under there dana 60?

At this time no plans to taper. Have some ideas for that situation but I don't think I'll be able to address them for a few weeks.

You should PM Muddytazz on this board. He can hook you up with some tapered ones.

I doubt anybody here on this board is going to want a set. Just something kinda fun. So don't hold your breath guys!!

cool design, like taper and the 'lip' around the edge. Most people who make their own just go with crazy-thick material to make up for a weak design. It works, but its inefficient and heavy. I also like how you addressed center pin / axle relocation issues with the slot down the middle... very cool. :)
