Nice truck. I'm gonna have to check into these seats, I need to make my blazer into a six seater.

Looks nicer that what I'm running, I grabbed a split-bench from the front of a GMT400 extended cab.

That was the other route I thought of going since they flip forward for access to the ext cab I thought it might be a good option for rear seat access in a blazer.
How's the rear seat access with your seats Rob?

Not great, it's a little worse than it was with the stock seats. I plan to mount them about an inch further forward when I re-do them, hopefully gain a little more rear seat access. I don't actually run a rear set at the moment, so it hasn't been an issue.

Yes that is what they are for. I drive over them all the time. Glad the 2x4 idea worked. Forgot to give you the bender last night ill give it to you when the trailer comes back.

I purchased a partial kit from DIY4X. I got the plates, B-Piller Hoop and Family bars from them. I plan to bend up an A-Piller hoop, make T-Top style bars to connect the A to B hoops, bars along the door opening, and cross bars to mount the seats too. I also plan to add some bars to the family portion of the cage to add some structure back there.

Minor progress!

Got the Full vert frame stripped, and out for sandblasting and powdercoating. Figure I'll use that as a primer / sealer, until I go for a full paintjob. I also decided to bite the bullet and purchase a Softopper!

Slow progress, but I've been clearing out other projects to make room for this one, should start the cage install this week!

That would be great if I could borrow that for a little bit. I plan to tack in the cage, and bring it to someone else for final burn-in.

Why powdercoat? You wont be able to repair it very well where you weld it in right?

It's the best way to get some sort of coverage on the bare metal inside of the frame. It'll have to be ground down at the weld points, but it should help keep rust away for a while. Also, it's damn near free (My uncle owns the shop) so why not?

Are you coating the outside of the windshield frame? If so, once it's welded on wont you have a noticeable difference in thickness between the the coating and paint?

Decided it was time to shit of get off the pot.

Still just rough cuts, didn't remove the windshield yet since I'm still waiting on my new frame to come back. I wanted the roof out of the way to make the cage installation easier.
