Ultimate Adventure on TV tonight

Hardly any footage of Wally, but some good trucks nonetheless. I've lived here since 1997, and have never made it to Poteau or Clayton. I see where next years trip's will take me :D
Stephen, what was your impression of Sam Patton?

John

Sam? Nice guy, apparently pretty busy since his jeep hasn't changed at all for the last few years. Then again it works so why mess with it? I kind of get the feeling that his shop has grown to the point that he manages the place instead of doing a lot of hands on work, which is how it should be when you get that size.
I know he was the only one or one of the few that didn't have a spare tire and ended up needing it one day. We were held up a little on a road trip day waiting on the repair. I think they stuck a fan belt in the sidewall for a plug. Makes me glad I had a spare even though I didn't need it.

I was kind of disappointed they didnt show more wheeling. I think they wasted alot of time showing the rigs driving to and from the trails. And not enough on the trails! Oh well, I was still entertained :wink1: Got me motivated for sure!
True.. but part of the UA is getting out going from place to place. So, it really would not be UA coverage if they didn't show them doing that. However, more wheeling would have been nice. :thumb:

Solution: longer show! :D

I thought it was a good show, even though I had to stay up till 1a.m. centeral time to see it, I thought it was on at 7 but it was actually on at 6 so I went out and worked on my D60 for a while and by the time i got in the first airing was over :doah: . I was also disapointed in the lack of coverage for stephans truck wally, but at least they showed a fair amount of the k10. I thought it was funny how they kept calling the highly modified early bronco that had the fiberglass f150 skins a fullsize :haha: (cant remember the drivers name but he is a little crazy and tries to change the scheme of his truck each year I guess!). Other than that, it was worth staying up till 1 for, even though im paying for it today.

Hutchinson double beadlocks, I believe they're aluminum and supposedly DOT approved. Major $$$.
