Updated pictures of the shop and the LIFT installation...

Just a few updated pictures of our shop. Need to slap a coat of white or gray paint on the walls. Needs just that little more bright going for it. Ton of lights, its nice and bright as it is.

The portion to the right and the trailer are for Dad's work tools, equipment, supplies, etc.

And the 10,000lbs lift we just purchased. Its from Complete Hydraulic, their site seems to be down at the moment. $1650 + 200 something for the ride to a local freight depot. I'll post a review of what I think of it when its operational. So far it looks pretty good. Dad and I spent a grand total of like 3 or 4 hours on it today and are almost half way done the install(ok little less than half I guess...). We farted around a lot today doing it.

its not 1x1, its 8x4 sheets with stud lines painted on them(made that way). We were going to drywall then the guy who does most of the drywall work for my Dad said that when he built his pole barn, when it settled all the drywall cracked bad. So Dad said screw it, plywood was cheaper, easier, and if anything will add structure to the building, not to mention make it easy to mount crap to the walls.

I forget what the final dimensions are, I will ask Dad tomorrow and post up.

i'd guess 50 x 20 ish with a 16 x 8 and a 8 x 8 door.

looks great. a lift would come in handy for me.
my parents just finished a 35 x 30 not to long ago at thier place.

50x30 or 25, I forget exactly which. lift install is finished by we are storing another lift for my Dad's friend so I can't get onto the lift to test it with a car. Mom slapped a coat of junk white paint on the walls as a primer, going to go work on painting the walls a light grey today.

Why not put up tin sheeting inside and out similar to what you used on the roof?

I know, its a crapload of bolts to do, but it'd look nice, never need to be painted, and last forever...

we painted the walls light grey (the ceiling is white), and put up some dark grey trim. It looks really good, as well as being quite bright inside. Actually we used up all the white paint we had for a primer coat, then painted the walls light grey. I'll get some pictures whenever we get it cleaned up and looking like a garage.

Damn, a friend has a garage that looks nearly ideantical. Finish, even the location, lol. Hes got an overhang over the front though...
