1979jimmy350 (Billy) just texted me. He said he got the cops involved but did not get the truck back. Dude holding it claimed that he is storing it and Billy owes him $2700 so Billy has to sue him to get the truck back

this is absolutely ridiculous, the guy is "storing" it but also trying to sell it? bullcrap. hopefully its an easy case..
Yeah, I think if he's able to prove that this guy was selling it at the swap meet (all vendors at the swap must register, so its on file) then that will show that he's really not "storing it" Billy told me he's getting a lawyer and that the cops told this guy that he's not allowed to sell it or he will get arrested

Man that sucks. I talked to billy this morning, he was going to borrow my trailer.
Happened to me.
I had a crew cab that my friend let me store at his yard.
Turns out it was a joint yard with his friend who stopped paying rent and disappeared.
I go to check on my crew and it was gone.
My friend told me to file a report as a stolen truck but I would have put his partner in trouble so I let it go.
I had picked through it already and the only thing left was a 350 long block and cab with frame.

Yea I was going to let him borrow mine, since I'm about halfway between him and Peoria IL. But it's currently blocked in my brothers driveway
