Thanks for the "expert" help anyways :waytogo::rolleyes:

Between the spring? Near the motor mount? My god man!

I guess you could beat it back together with BFH, weld the piss out of it and put your zero rates in to center the axle. I hope to GOD you don't do this, I hope for everyone around you also, so the can get the hell out of the way when that thing balls it self up.

or you could hack off the front part where the frame is damged and build something with tube? always fun to experiment?

I'll use my spare block and make a 383 on the cheap

Once again, another uneducated remark. Stroker engines and cheap do not belong in the same sentence together. :ignore:

I'll wave the BS flag on this one. 4x4High has been building motors longer then you have been alive.

besides you don't have to worry about decking the block, your pistons will be popping out of them if you use a stock 350 pistons, it also wouldn't be a 383 if they are stock pistons.

quit while you have a chance, kid. Just hit the back button and we'll pretend none of this every happened.....

LOL, i like that one. :haha:

Yep, own my own machine shop and have been building engines professionally for 21 years and before that another 9 years.

He may be able to lay down the BS but not on this guy. :deal:

Maybe not, I don't know what I was thinking when I thought this place was knowledgable. I'll just post stuff other than questions from now on, and getting answers from pulling them out of my ass.

Howdiy, this will be your first verbal warning. I don't want to see you posting anything like this again.

You asked for advice and received advice on the CORRECT way to fix your vehicle. None of the guys here are going to suggest a potentially dangerous band-aid fix.

There are 2 ways to build a stroker 383. You either use a 3.75" stroke crank with a 5.7" rod with a stroker piston, OR you use a 3.75" stroke crank with a 5.565" rod with a stock 350 piston and no matter which way you build it it MUST be balanced. You cannot build that engine for anywhere near close to 350.00 as you've stated.

So much would you say it would cost :1zhelp:

4X4HIGH "built" me a motor over at summit listing what I previously had and what kinda numbers I wanted.

I'm looking at $500 for a very stong 350. I'd say to build a 383 for "cheap" you better have $1200.
