Hopefully he will get out in the dirt when he's better :D

:bow::bow:

I found a mp3 file of the Rockford theme and hacked it into my phone as a ringtone. I get lots of comments/compliments on it when it rings in public.

Definitely wish him well from us - would be pretty awesome if he felt up to logging on and say hello - some actors seem like actors, but even when I was a kid, I remember think he seemed like such a regular person in his roles - very down to earth. Very cool that you are able to spend time and share this passion with him!!!

I've always liked James Gardner, but never knew about the racing bit. Thanks for the info. I hope he gets to feeling better.

James Garner

Thanks for all of your best wishes on Jims recorvery, Jim is a special person, He is a great actor and even a better racer, He would have raced more if it was not for the Movie studio insurance issues, My life goal is to bring the respect Vic Hickey - James Garner - Bud Ekins - Cliff Coleman deserve, Vic Hickey was a founder in Offroad racing and designed and built the first K5 Blazer and I own it, James Garner was a great Offroad racer, I plan on buying all the Offroad cars and trucks he has raced and restore them to original race condition, The late Bud Ekins was a great friend of mine and was the person who thought up the Baja 1000 and he was the senior driver for Hickey and he raced my SN# 001 Blazer and my 1969 # 40 race truck and he also racer my other 1969 truck and he also drove Garners 1970 Olds 442 That Hickey built and i also own it, And Cliff coleman drove all the cars and trucks and also he was with Ekins on the first Baja 1000 run, We still talk every week, I will bring there names into the 21 century for the next genaration to learn about, Here is Cliff next to his old race truck last March in Las Vegas at the Mint 400, And you know i own that truck also, I know i like to go on and on about this but its my life now and this is all i think about, Its better to be hooked on this then drugs

New project Blazers

Here are a few shots of my last 2 Blazer's i bought, The white 72 i bought last month is a great runner and driver, It needs new rockers but it is a great driver, and not bad for $1200.00, I installed a new Edelbrock intake and carb and MSD Ignition,Last week i bought this basket case, Its a 1970 K5 for $500.00, The owner had it for 16 years and it was his high school truck After driving it for 10 years he started to restore is and lost interest, He started the body work hand had the frame sandblasted and painted, then installed a new Rancho 6" lift kit woth RS 9000 shocks, The motor runs great its a 350 with LT1 fullie heads and Edelbrock intake and carb,Everything is there to put it back togeather but the top, Its in perfect condition for me to build a sweet K5, It will go to the body shop in 2 weeks to get painted inside and out 1969 Hugger orange and i have a new 454 for it with a new TCi tranny, I hope to have it done in 6 weeks, I think i will start a thread on this build, It will need new rockers thats the only major body repair needed, If anyone is interested in the white 72 i will be making room for more inportant projects, I have way to many toys
