Vin look up

Yeah, the options seem to match, it does have an A/C dash. The only thing that doesn't match is the locking front hubs. I have to go back over there today, so I'll see if I can get a look at the frame and door jam. It's kinda buried under a bunch of parts, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to it, but we'll see.

Definitely a conversion. Vin is different on the frame and door plate. Also was able to get under it enough to see the welds on the frame. And it still has a 6 lug rear axle.

I see 2 digits in the VIN that don't match between the SPID list and the VIN plate. That seems odd considering how other things look.
What does the title have?
What would your plans be for it?

And above all, is it something that is outside of the law somehow?
Strange one to me. Could be something that isn't worth the effort or risk. You have to decide.

Well, I went and picked it up today. Because of the vin problems the guy just gave it to me.
The vin in the glovebox is from a 2wd truck, but doesn't match the options which are obviously for a 4wd blazer. The vin in the door frame is probably the correct one. The glovebox one is probably fake, but done a long time ago so looks real.
Either way, it'll never be registered so whatever.

It's really far gone. The frame is hacked up and the body is really rough. Plenty of good parts I think, but I don't think it's worth trying to fix up. I'll go over it more closely tomorrow and post pics.
