I don’t have those rich people tools like @Fastereddie but I’d say he’s right on with spacing

Those digital calipers were like 20 bucks at horrible freight bro!You’re right, duh….my brain must have froze when I stepped outside….@TJ1978 they are 1.25”! My bad!@Chickntrk that looks like 1.25” long bolt, measure from the inside of the bolt head not the outside.

Did you install a brass tap in the case above the torque bar hole?
Yeah, I tapped the case for threaded pipe plugs instead of the freeze plug style.Did you install a brass tap in the case above the torque bar hole?
Damn great idea !Yeah, I tapped the case for threaded pipe plugs instead of the freeze plug style.
That’s a good catch.Maybe just mine but it appears that the 205's with the boss drilled have been made straight for the strut rod to sit flush. Where as mine you can still see the casting line and it's not flat. No biggie I can fix that, just adding the info to this thread.
You can see mine has a slight angle to it. Higher in the middle

@Fastereddie is flat as well.

Or a couple of thick structural washers acting as spacers between the case and the bar mounting flange with a little longer bolts to make up the difference.I'm going to try it myself in making it flat. I've already bought all the tools to drill and tap this 205. Use a level and angle grinder and or big grit sand paper. Or have my kids hand sand it or maybe use an orbital sander type thing.
