want to see other than stock bumpers

The CUCV bumpers are nothing more than factory bumpers painted drab with the shackle bracket holes already cut in them.

Don't forget the blackout markers/blackout drives.

Haha, yeah, but they're not very important when you hack off that part of the bumper anyways.

Front bumper...

jjlaughner- what thickness tube did you use on your bumper? i was gonna use 3/16" 2"x6" rectangle tube.

just a couple 3/8" and 1/4" brackets welded to a piece of 2x6x.188" tube, used some diamond plate :grin: to cover the brackets and eventually hide/protect some underside lights that will be mounted to the back of the bumper

:grin::waytogo:
.188 or 3/16"

Anyone have any pics of how the way their tube bumper is mounted to their truck? Im looking for ideas to finish my DIY bumper I bought. I saw the one a couple of pages back and was wondering how other people mounted theirs. Thanks!

Here is mine

Ok I saw one of these on eBay and wanted to get one for my Blazer but could only find for a Jeep. So i emailed the guy on eBay and asked if he would make me one for my truck. The guys name was Chris and he said he would and gave me the price.

He has a web site called http://crboffroad.com and you can see some of his work there. He is located in Greenville, Ohio. Chris said if anyone was interested in one to email him at [email protected] Chris is a wonderfull person to work with and did a great job.

these are the cucv brackets with stock bumper

I have a set for the rear that will probably be up for sale in the near future. The rear bumper is FUBAR though.

Here is a modified Warn front bumper. The mounts were notched and new holes drilled to raise it up 1" and the top plates were made out of .188" instead of the sheet metal tops they provide. Also added the shackel and high lift mounts. It's also comming off the truck soon.

Wayne, i'd be interested in the rear cucv mounts and your front bumper. let me know if you decide to take them off and get rid of them :)

I'm in the middle of fabbing new ones now. Everything should be done by the Carlisle truck show.
