No spark. Replaced the stator with a cheap Chinese one 6 months ago, but obviously that was a bad decision. Time to find an OE one.

Ended up having a bad CDI. Bypassed it and/or the kill switch and it fired up after a quick shot of ether.

Yes the idle was up. I was messing with it the last time I worked on it and forgot to turn the idle back down.
