Well everyone has a build thread so... UPDATE 9/10 K5 is down again.

Well after discovering that the breather on the transfer case is only an inch long from the factory and the breather hose at the front axle is to short after the lift, I decided that it is time to lengthen them.

Today I bought 20 ft of fuel line hose and hose clamps to make longer lines for both of them. The plan is to run the transfer case up into the engine bay and run a longer line from the axle.

I will get pics of the install if I can.

wheres the TC breather?? i didnt know there was one. where should the other end be at?

Well I herculined the cargo area and made new side panels. I need to take some pics of it. I

need to fix my leaking rear end and line the front part of the cab but it wont quit raining.

Heres a current pic of my truck. I took this with my camera phone.

Well my K5 will be down for a while. I was driving back home on thursday and the transfer case decided to blow up about 50 minutes from home. I had to call my dad and have him pick me up.

I'm not sure when it will be back up and running because the K5 is in Victoria and I live in San Marcos.

damn man, what happened while it was happening? like noises and stuff.

i just redid my tailhousing but its still vibes.

It had some vibrations. Then it just let go. I'm not sure if the tcase blew up or if the u joint lost cap and then took the tcase with it.

I do know there was a lot of smoke when the tranny fluid hit the exhaust though. haha.

leading up to this, did you get any kind of chattery sounds or rattle-like sounds?

do you have a pic of your pinion angle? i ran for a while with them outta whack. i think i wore the slip part of my shaft out (only part not replaced), if you need help with your rig man, let me know. even if its in victoria

I dont think I have one. However the pinion was pretty much flat. Thanks for the offer to help man. I'll have to see what I'm gonna do with it. I will probably end up getting another Tcase. It all depends what I can find on a budget and if I have the time to go back home to install it.

I figure that installing a new case will be easier/faster than fixing this one.
