Well, help me understand! (PLEASE)

Yeah, I'm 70 y/o.... I too understand "shrinkage" lol :eek2: Steps will probably be in order for me too. Right now it's all I can do to pull myself up and in, holding onto the windshield frame and the roll bar.... (it ain't a very pretty sight)
I'm 61, you're Preaching to the choir lol!

This is a pic of mine with well worn springs and 33's.

Thank you. I got lucky finding it. Neil Young told the truth when he said "rust never sleeps"...I have a couple of spots that have popped up.

I think my Blazer spent way too much time (as Neil Young would also say), "Down by the River!" Mine is the P.O.R. 15 poster child!

I was listening to a podcast with Hulk Hogan and he was saying in his prime he was over 6'-7" and he's barely 6'-3" now.

Father Time gets all in the end...if we're lucky I guess.

I second the vote for Offroad Design for custom springs. I had a set of 4" springs from Tuff Country on my '70 and the ride was terrible. A custom set from ORD is so much better, it's indescribable. The length of the front springs on the '67-'72 trucks are shorter than '73 and up. Makes a noticeable difference to me.
So I went with ORD when I got springs for my '90 as well. Very happy, even though the soft springs give some sideways sway of the axle while driving. So much better than a kit spring as far as ride, it doesn't bother me.

20231119_131034.jpg20181221_161959.jpg my 89 sits on 20yo 2.1/2 soft ride sky jacker(? Forgot), 33's on stock rallies. Roadtrips well, offroads good enough for me, wife hates it cause I call it my girlfriend...forks me and takes my money.

I'm 74. I do a one legged hop while holding the windshield frame, so far I can still do that pretty good.

These guys are great and they will help ensure you shall die penniless for a project that never ends.

Absolutely gorgeous Blazer there, brother....and yes you're right, the plan is to die flat broke due to bad habits.... My wife of 43 years finds it quite amusing that I spend good money on vehicles I either can't get INTO (blazer) or OUT OF (Corvette).

Thought about a 2 inch lift, but I remembered I'd get 2 inches back with fresh stock springs! Lol
