Lots more to do but I am confident in my team :smokin2:

Lookin good!

Are you doing any bracing to simulate rocker boxes?

Might want to consider installing the factory top close the tailgate and window. Close the doors and put the windows up to make sure all is lined up when you weld the header panel.

We did not cut the doors doors yet on purpose but we can't both install the top and close the doors. It is either one or the other. and I trust the doors more.

rocker boxes, cage or at least mini cage
don't hate life later
going to be sweet

No roll cage I don't like them and it will not be necessary. We will be getting a 4 point roll bar that ties into the B pillars as well as the floor where the rear cab mount ties in with kickers tying in behind the rear wheel wells.

My welder is going to make the rollbar at the same time. With it tied to the B pillars and the cab mounts and the rock sliders tying the front and rear cab mounts together then extra floor supports that wrap up the firewall I predict that it will be very stiff. Much more so than my vette convertible

I would really focus on the front cab mount to the firewall brace, it's the firewall that moves.

The vertical pieces forward of the body mount certainly make a difference. The problem isn’t the floor buckling, it’s the A and B pillars closing in and the doors no longer being able to close.

Yes and that flimsy rocker box with a big hole in it can't support the fire wall. There is not enough metal there. These things will just fold at the front. At best they stiffen the floor between the body mounts.

If it seems squirrely we will put some square tube along the inside of the rockers tying the front and rear cab mounts together.

I got sidetracked with the D60/14 bolt swap. Put my original axles on CL and they sold before I was ready so I had to get them out and get the heavy ones ready and that took a while over the holidays

Got the other door pretty much complete. I may not have taken enough material off though, the tops of the doors are pretty tight on the top. Does anyone have reference pics?
