Well I just got done pulling it home again...

Huh, well now I'm confused too! :)

When did GM stop putting those little "nubs" on the yoke ears to keep the u-joint caps in place?

The picture above pretty clearly shows there aren't any, but I'm pretty darn certain even my late 90's 14SF has the little nubs, as does my '86 10 bolt front??

I have a 90 Jimmy. Front 10 bolt has nubs. Rear 10 bolt, (the one in pic) didn't. 97 14 bolt SF that is now in my truck does.

I don't have any grooves in my yoke on my axle for those clips.

Check the width of the yoke. If it never had the nubs on the outside to hold the u-joint, then it had to be designed for the clips. If the inside faces of the yoke are flat and the right width, I think you should be all right.

You dont need grooves in the yoke. The grooves are on the cap of the ujoint. The clip goes on the cap. when you install the straps, the clips are on the inside of the straps.

Well they're pretty smooth. No grooves or nuba. Anyone know if the joints above will work?

Why dont you contact one of the vendors here and give them your money instead of Eghey. That way you are sure to get the right part and you are supporting your hobby.

I found some on another site that sells Spicer parts. Got some straps too to go with them. Hopefully it's all right.

Are there even any vendors that sell stuff for 1/2 ton junk? Everywhere I look it's all about 14 bolts and D60s, so I don't even bother usually...

I guess while I'm under there I'm gonna replace my t-case output shaft seal. Any idea where I could get one of those?

Your local autoparts store should have that seal in stock.
