so guys im at a crossroads. the truck is too big, heavy, long, wide, etc. you get it.
so my current options are all assuming a 115" wheelbase:

1. narrow front, ditch bed, boatside
2. swap body......usig a sidekick, s10 pickup, s10 blazer?
3. full tube......using a 12pt truck cage...plus tube

so give my your ideas and suggestions

anyone else have soem views?

Start with #1. Unless you can find a real good deal on a body to swap. I think a sidekick would look a little ridiculous with that wheelbase and not be linked front and rear. You would have frame sticking out in front and back for the spring hangers

I agree, #1, maybe something along the lines of twoslo4five0's

when i get around to it mine is going on a large diet and mabye loosing the front clip in favor of something like bgeens.i wanna tilt it down and make my own so i can have more vision.here is what im looking at

Where did you find those pics twoslo? His truck looks completly different from the last time I saw it. That looks like a ranger cab instead of the fullsize chevy cab he had.

well guys decided to stay fullsize and just keep beating on it. went out memorial day.(ill try to get pics). but really discovered i need to be lighter, shorter and softer. but all three of those will happen simultaneously. so questions being posed

***is moving the 56" rears to the front, and 63" rears worth the hassle and work?** i also have some 52" springs?

Update

Ok. So an update is due. As I had asked before I was looking for a way to shorten my truck. I shortened the truck to 112” wheelbase, did a shackle flip, I rotated my pinion using BTF perches, and a BTF dif guard. I also reworked my springs. In the from I took 6” lift springs took 2 plies out and added a long one from the rear, I also moved the shackle mount forward like in a 52” swap. In the rear I took out the overload, add a leaf, and 1 other ply. I also added a traction bar, went to a fuel cell, and reworked the shocks. Also added a smittybilt 12XRC winch
