well thought id start my build thread.. 4 seat exo complete...7/28/10

YUP, nice trucks don't stay nice once you start really wheeling them. i have done 2 in just like you. your truck was even nicer then i started with though.

Alot of are trucks where nice, and then we go wheelin. I always say i'm not going to hit that tree or brush up against that rock, but it happens, and i seem to enjoy every minute of it:D. truck looks good. keep those pics comin.

im running a doubler...by using a divorced IH 205 so its got a pretty long driveline. its just a few degrees higher than it need to be to that it never gets close to binding at full drop.

really not that bad i mean half the time we are crawling so i got the ghetto lean going on out of the door but driving you dont notice it. the bars are close enough i cant run a wiper on the pass. side.

well guys decided to stay fullsize and just keep beating on it. went out memorial day.(ill try to get pics). but really discovered i need to be lighter, shorter and softer. but all three of those will happen simultaneously. so questions being posed

***is moving the 56" rears to the front, and 63" rears worth the hassle and work?** i also have some 52" springs?

64"s kick ass on my K5 and my '96. The longer spring also wraps a lot less than the stockers. The only thing that sucks is the hit to your departure angle, but it isn't bad. It limited me a little more than my bumper at first, but now that I moved the axle back 1.5", I don't drag them anymore.

I'm only on 35"s right now too. A more appropriate tire would pretty much negate the problem.

Yeah, I am running 56" rears, ditched the block, and added a traction bar. It isnt bad for departure and i am happy with the flex. so needless to say i have 2 sets of 63" springs....Idk if i go up to 44's i may go with 63" but who knows....

well guys time for an update. i switched the front to 56" springs from a 2wd 3/4 ton. i took out some smaller plys and added some longer ones from some other packs. moved the shackle back into factory location and then moved the front forward 4" overall gained about 2 inched of wheelback and the shackle is not longer resting on the frame. I also built a sq d-shaft to help with the droop. enough talk onto pics.
