I have been avoiding adding a 3rd metal to my cooling system for 20+ years. If I go aluminum cylinder heads I will for sure do the intake and sacrificial t stat housing out of pot metal. I going to keep the brass rad and heater core.

Had to Poke LMC, regarding the incorrect blower switch they listed for 77 C60. post https://ck5.com/forums/threads/wess-burb-build-update-maintance.336847/post-4238698

Last communication from LMC
"Thank you for the photos. We will submit them to our quality control team and see if we can get the issue resolved. We will contact you once we have any info. Please let us know if you have any other inquiries." This was May 12th.
Nothing from them till I asked, and today.

"Thank you for reaching out to us. We show that we had emailed you on 5/12/2022. We are sorry if you have not received that reply.

We have reviewed our stock and it matches what the vendor shows to be correct. This is all that is available to us.

We can issue a refund for fan switch 36-0678, we would not need this part returned to us. Please let us know if this is something you would interested in."

I am keeping the switch I can make it work, just not happy I have to modify the dash wiring to do so. I told LMC as much, becoming more and more disappointed in LMC
They will be my last resort in the future.

Well there were at least 10 led light vendors at KOH. bd had the shape and style and their price, 10% discount, wasn't much different then any of the others offering 20%. very few had inventory to cash and carry

I would love to go to KOH, but I am afraid that once the CHP see my 10" lifted crew cab square body with 38" tires, and a Nevada license plate they would pull me over to start trouble with me. I lived in South Orange County, Ca for many years in the 70's and 80's, and the Orange County Sheriff's used to pull me over to screw with me all the time in my 1970 SS Chevelle 396, my 1970 Buick GS Skylark 455, and my 1977 Chevy K30 single cab with 6" lift/35" tires.

SB Sheriff, won't even give you second look.

I drove this beast all over LA county My 20 something kid did too. Now I drive it in the high desert, KOH adjacent all the time. Never get a second look.
It has 10" of lift. Factory 6" and I added 4" lift springs

Let me know if you plan to attend I will probably be there next year at least for a few days.

I would like to go next year.
My friends were there racing this year.
They finished but towards the end, placed 23rd i believe.
We will see how things go next year

Got the 77 in shop. It been in for a week or 2.
Got a laundry list of updates to do. Going to do the front axle gear change and new front lift springs.
Been fighting an oil leak at the rear, got worse when oil cooler was in stalled. A drip from the adapter between block and filter.
Today after racking, looking the under side over I find one of the AN Fittings is leaking.IMG_20230311_185043.jpg
Between this new leak and the old leak I think this truck doesn't want an oil cooler. Ima gonna pull it.
Have to figure out if those Fragola or Amazon Evil fittings I don't remember who's ATM.
Discovered I need 50"ish jack stands so I can do the springs standing up.

2 things Ford got right with their trucks.
The 9" rear end and putting both fuel fill doors on the same damn side.

Well both those gas doors are aftermarket. In it's life had 2 different sets of saddle tanks.
Bbf and factory 19g tank = around the block road trips.

Yeah I posted it up here 1 time, no one seemed to know who made it. It'll be coming off soon for diff up date. I'll give a good scrubbing and see if any markings.

TC HD springs, I've had for 2 years, installed. Get some weight on them and torque everything down tomorrow.

ORD kevlar bushings 2.5 years and 10k miles.

looks like lower right bushing in photo is wallowed out pretty good. Doesn't 2 years and 10,000 miles sound like not enough??

It did have slop in the middle, probably about 1/16th". The outter ends were still tight.
I pull the bushings outta the old springs by hand very nice. The gease system works well bolts easily pulled out, very little to no wear at shackle points.
Front spring bushings lined up the set shape , and push in by hand. Rear eye bushing required more persuasion
