Man, she should run great after all this love.When I pulled #1 plug, yesterday it blacker than sin.
Gad mileage seemed alittle poor, but only use little more than half a tank on few trip in town and some test drives including wheeling a wee bit.
One time while parked on slight grade up hill for an afternoon it flooded, wouldn't start, until I shut the fuel pump off. At one point I had a large opening seat in the carb. So I thought I go back to stock size, since that seat didn't slove the issue I was after.
Well crap, nobody to blame but myself.

Not sure how the he'll I did that, must have been in a hurry. I know better.
The seat is regular size now, and went back to softest main metering rod spring. Except for the smaller float, set 15/32" the carb is back to how Edlebrock made it.
Moved the vapor canister to core support since the ARB compressor is in that spot.

Almost back together. Got a few grounds to terminate under the hood, the it's under dash yoga time.
Is your far driver side a/c vent still connected with the under steering column tube? One of my trucks wasn’t using that vent so I replaced it with an aluminum plate. Holds a few switchesI have been plugging away at my Blazer Bash list.
After all the engine work mostly resealing, which appears to be a success, no noticed drips. Only moved 4 feet forward, and idled for carb adjustments.
Have a nice steady 17" on vacuum gauge, 9° btdc timing. I have not moved the timing, that is where I managed to set it, with old spun balancer and wrong timing pointer. @40° total advance at 2500ish rpm.
At fire fire up after all engine work there was a whine, coming from the front. Could not pin point this noise, stethoscope on all the turning parts sounded great. Then I noticed the P/S belt flopping. Tighten up belt, is a little better. While doing carb adjustments, noise gets louder, belt is flopping again. Pull the belt off it is thin on outside edge and doesn't lay flat, so it's nfg. I put a new belt on but haven't run it. Also shimmed the p/s pump 1 flat washer, looks lined up better.
Have spent some tedious time routing wiring, cleaning up some PO's and my additions, and labeling stuff. Spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what one wire did. I know I have traced this circuit before, be cause I left connected, it is a PO addition. Well now it's labeled.

The ash tray has been repurposed to the ARB compressor switch panel, 1 spare switch atm. Having difficulty finding a good spot for second switch panel.
