West Texas offroad

I know in the past lots of people used them. I haven't heard much about them in recent years.

DIY4x offers the end caps and can tap your top cap too. Or you could buy a drill bit and tap the top cap yourself.

Check his website.

That's what I have right now and when I went to put the top cap back on I screwed up and not sure how to fix it. It needs to he adjusted but dont wanna adjust it to much and ruin the box.

I didn’t ask. I just sent them an empty box to drill and tap, I was going to rebuild it myself, and they called me wondering where the rest was. Haha!

its not hard at all to set the adjuster screw .

old gm tech told me . turn in till it just hits and back off a little bit . no more than 1/4 turn . hold screw and lock the nut down .

I'll post a picture of it tomorrow but I feel the adjuster screw is sticking out more then it was before I did the hydro assist. Which is why I feel like I might have screwed something up.

My dad just put west texas steering stuff on an LS swapped JK on Dynatrack 60's with 40" rubber. I drove it over the 4th, it steers like a stock jeep. I was impressed.

I've never driven any jeep but I'll take you're word for it lol. Did you send in a box to have it drilled and tapped? Do you remember what the turn around time was?

I believe it was a core swap, not certain. The JK stuff is so hot right now everyone has the parts available. At least the jeep has some GM in it now. LS3/6L80/Atlas3.8.

I drove a 2017 with 35" tires stock steering and the swapped 2007 with the 40"tires and west texas steering back to back. The 2 drove basically the same. The 40" were effortless to turn, even slow on pavement.
