I didn't make a fuss about it, but I also find them snarky. It takes some nerve to tell me how much rust I'm able to see on my own truck. I promise you, I've seen this truck much more closely than you have, and my eyes are capable of seeing rust. I appreciate your input, but I don't see what you have to gain from defending the attitude.
because you've been nice - I'll point something out. My answer was from the "perspective craigslist person" then I gave you my example of a recent sale of my own truck to say that my opinion is actually based upon something I just experienced. I know this sounds like snark but it's really not. You live in the rust belt, most everything there is in some form of returning to the earth. You have 2 rust spots and to anyone reading on Craigslist - they'll say "hmmm, just like everyone else he minimizes." No snark was ever intended, but my god the thin skins here. No one bothered asking if that's what I meant, just the immediate chorus of how I was being terrible to you. I feel bad for people who think that everyone has something in for them - but by the same token, I'm not going to spend money on a subscription, then post a major build for people who I'll always wonder what will set them off next. Add to this that the moderators never asked either - so now it's open season on Aaron for what? tell you my experience and my view of what you're selling. I'm sure you're honest, but most craigslist sellers aren't - so when someone reads your blub - I'll lay odds that is what most would see.
And that's what has got me leaving. I have no desire to answer someone's question then get accused of something never intended. No one asked, they just accused. Why do I need this pirate crap in my life? I don't. As was eloquently said "don't let the door hit you..." I need you as much as you need me - absolutely not at all. But good grief, grow some thicker skin and presume good rather then evil. You'll live a healthier life.
