What is this truck worth?

I didn't make a fuss about it, but I also find them snarky. It takes some nerve to tell me how much rust I'm able to see on my own truck. I promise you, I've seen this truck much more closely than you have, and my eyes are capable of seeing rust. I appreciate your input, but I don't see what you have to gain from defending the attitude.

because you've been nice - I'll point something out. My answer was from the "perspective craigslist person" then I gave you my example of a recent sale of my own truck to say that my opinion is actually based upon something I just experienced. I know this sounds like snark but it's really not. You live in the rust belt, most everything there is in some form of returning to the earth. You have 2 rust spots and to anyone reading on Craigslist - they'll say "hmmm, just like everyone else he minimizes." No snark was ever intended, but my god the thin skins here. No one bothered asking if that's what I meant, just the immediate chorus of how I was being terrible to you. I feel bad for people who think that everyone has something in for them - but by the same token, I'm not going to spend money on a subscription, then post a major build for people who I'll always wonder what will set them off next. Add to this that the moderators never asked either - so now it's open season on Aaron for what? tell you my experience and my view of what you're selling. I'm sure you're honest, but most craigslist sellers aren't - so when someone reads your blub - I'll lay odds that is what most would see.

And that's what has got me leaving. I have no desire to answer someone's question then get accused of something never intended. No one asked, they just accused. Why do I need this pirate crap in my life? I don't. As was eloquently said "don't let the door hit you..." I need you as much as you need me - absolutely not at all. But good grief, grow some thicker skin and presume good rather then evil. You'll live a healthier life.

Thank you. I figured there had to be a positive motivation hiding in there, it just got buried in the terseness.

as I said before, I was done then, more so now. what's ironic is the OP seems to find the posts to be fine, and this went from "snarky" to "snarky on another thread but I'm going to call you about it here"

hard to figure out what someone is talking about when it's either "on another thread" or a response to someone else's post and asking a question.

but to be clear - you lost me the moment you said "brotherhood" to me that's insular group that doesn't want more people to be part of it. thanks for the laughs, I'll say it again. I'm done.

You've made a rather large supposition here, without asking questions(like you chided some of us for in another post - how ironic!). FYI, the CK5 Brotherhood has been around for many years, and many have come and gone in that time. There are no code words or secret handshakes you need to know in order to join. Basically, you sign up on CK5 and ease yourself into the fun. Before you know it, you're helping fellow members fix their issues and trading shots with people you've buddied up with along the way. If you're lucky, you even get to meet some of the fine folks who call this place home in person. I've been fortunate to meet several of the lads here and am proud to call them my friends. Campfire himself is relatively new to the group, and you'll see that he is more than accepted despite his crummy truck with rust holes and mismatched box and sand stuck in the nooks and crannies.......:lmao:

If you think we're on the losing end if you leave, guess again. That being said, it's very easy to resolve this and move forward as one of the gang. Drop the ego and fess up that you were in fact a little rude. We forgive very easily and by next year we'll all be joking about this, yourself included. The choice is yours.

As I said before, if you would like to discuss this further, you can PM me anytime.

Some days I wish we were still allowed to have sig. quotes... :rotfl:

And who cares if there is a ton of rust you don't wanna talk about, we all have rust in places we won't mention(frames) but that's what welders and pop rivets are for.. and in @bent72 case jb weld.

Thanks for the entertainment this morning fellas. Its a shame, I was liking where superbuick was going with his rig. Anyways campy, from living in the rustbelt I can honestly say your truck will sell for 3000-3500. But to get that price you will need matching tires and rims :deal:.

I've been planning on brand new tires and painting up my dog dish rims this summer. But new tires sound like a money-losing idea for a sale.

It has the matching silver van rims on it now, but no matching spare. The spare really needs to match on this truck. Although I guess I could get a Jeep style tire cover.
