Just kinda wonderin what everyone carries in their rig for those emergency situations. Maybe spare parts all the way down to toilet paper :D

In my truck i always carry

-spare hose incase one was to blow (or atleast something for a quick fix)
-almost all my tools (carry them with me always in any of my rigs)
-spare fuses
-flashlight
-jumper cables
-extra carburetor......(j/k :haha:)

Think that's about it. Other than cd's incase i'm there for a long period of time :doah:

-Crappy tow strap
-Jumper cables
-First aid bag
-Spare belts
-hose repair stuff
-Road flares
-Spare jack
-Tire repair
-blanket
-Road cones (in the 90 all the time, the 88 just on long trips)
-Electrical stuff (fuses, wire, switches, bulbs, crimp connectors, tape)
-fishing pole
-Ratchet straps/tie-downs
-Tool box

The tool box has just enough tools to fix little things like ujoints, belts, door/window parts. On the longer trips I'll throw in another box that has stuff for most driveline and engine things that could be fixed on the side of the road. I used to carry spare parts like fuel pumps and what not, things that could prevent the truck from not moving at all if I didnt have spares.

What I can find in the back of my Yukon at any given time:

-spare headlight bulbs (1 hi 1 lo)
-quart of tranny fluid
-pint of power steering fluid
-pint of brake fluid
-gallon of anti-freeze
-acessory belt
-universal fit radiator hose
-tool box (most basic tools)
-camping gear (I leave a storage container in the back with all my camping gear, including firestarter, MRE's, hatchet, and severe-weather gear. I toss in a sleeping bag for longer trips)
-trailer drawbar
-recovery strap
-shackles
-I'm sure I missed something... actually, everything fits in the camping gear container, makes it easy to keep track of stuff, and it's less messy.

dang.... you guys do it up! I usually have my receiver with 2 inch ball and....... cell phone in my pocket......

somewhat of a repost, but I`ll let it go, as I feel bad for you :p:

Holiday Fun-- :D milwaukees beast poured into a condom.... (now this step needs to be done with some speed)..... drop the roofie in and tie her up.... then toss as far as possible...... Now sometimes those buggers will explode before you can get them off.... that's where the TP comes in..... now if you drop the gernade straight down...... wet wipes when the cocktail blows straight up the ol :eek1:.......

3 first aid kits. 2 for everything imaginable, and one for snow with a portable shovel. 2 mag lights, (one in the truck and one in the tool box)

In the K5

all of that when im wheeling plus a hi lift.

My list is pretty basic, no spare parts yet either.. Probably should get an icm since they are a pretty common failure.

tool set(metric and inch)
tow straps
yank strap
couple lengths of chain with hooks(not for removing vehicles..)
bottle jack
wheel chocks
2 come alongs
bunch of road flares
fluids(oil, atf, coolant, gear oil - all of which gets used and replaced)
couple tubes of rtv
good first aid kit
sleeping bag
winter clothing and rain gear
ground cloth
Glock w/ spare mags
3d mag lite
k-bar
2 mre's(use and replace them once a year)
water purifaction tabs and an empty water bottle
duct tape
2 gallon gas can(empty)

Having a burb is nice :D I keep most of my camping gear in it as well. Since I don't run the 3rd row seat I've got two carpeted outdoor mats on the floor(the sort with the rubber bottoms). I don't wheel my rig so I'm not terribly worried about blowing parts on the trail. I'd like to eventually have a few more spare parts, but not too concerned.

I've used a lot of road flares up where I live.. curvey road that takes a toll on inattentive drivers and is out in BFE. Also pulled several trees off the road and this year am working on getting my chain saw up and running to keep in the truck when the weather hits. I do not keep water in my vehicle during the winter months.. don't want it freezing and bursting.

Started carrying the empty gas can after having someone come up to me in a parking lot for gas money. Told them no, but asked if they had a can for gas and where was their car(late 70's civic) :wink1: Filled up their 1 gal can and got them going. Of course I probably wouldn't have done this without the Glock handy.. can't be too cautious in this world

I do need to pick up a fire extinguisher...

--6"x30' Recovery strap
--15' chain
--Reciver Shackel
--Extra belts
--Extra Radiator hoses
--Extra heater hoses
--2 Large military shackels (the kind they lift Hummers with)
--Assorted tools that I know fit my truck
--Jumper cables
--Good floor jack
--Fullsize spare (36")
--4 way lug wrench
--12volt air compressor
--Tire presure gauge
--Shovel (handle cut down)
--Ratchet straps
--4 30" pieces of small steel cable (good for fixing exaust hangers)
--Zip ties
--Assorted hose clamps
--1 of each u-joint
--Duct tape
--Electrical tape
--Some spare wire, and electrical conectors
--Fuses and bulbs
--Fire Extinguisher
--Maglite and mini maglite
--Couple pairs of gloves
--Jacket
--Leatherman multi tool
--Matches
--Gear lube (1 gallon)
--Spare igniton module
--Rags
--Trash bags, atleast 5. Work good to cover the seats when it rains and I have the top off too.
--Toilet paper

All of that is in my K5 right now, there may even be more that I'm forgeting. I daily drive it and wheel the crap out of it every chance I get.
I'll pack even more if I'm pulling the snowmobile trailer or towing the Camaro to the track.

WOW! And I thought I had too much. I used to carry alot more stuff, but I dont go far from home very often, and when I do I usually have the camper in tow, so I dont need all the camping and roadside potty stuff. Now that winter is setting in, I might start bringing my cold weather gear again, but it takes up so much room (even with the Burb, I need all three rows so there isnt much space left). And like some of the other guys, I just dont wheel hard enough to break much, so why bring a ton of spares.:D
