What do YOU have to do

Brakes are done! Very happy with the results! Tomorrow I am gonna clean up the shop and load the Tahoe up with all my gear. If I have time, I'm gonna give the K5 a bath. It badly needs one after the offroad competition last weekend...

Next weekend I am going to take the zero rate out of the rear suspension to drop the truck an inch (the spring plates allow me to move the axle forwards or rear an inch) out back. After Moab, I'll be pulling a spring or two out of the front to drop it 2" and then removing the rear 4" block and installing a 2.5" block in it's place then putting in the hydro assist.

finish mounting fuel tank
add reservoir to power steering
lengthen rear driveshaft
build front driveshaft
finish seat mounting for the cage
mount front shock towers and shocks
rear shock in-boarding kit and shocks
finish wraptor (weld the two tubes together)
make transfer case side mount
wire up winch
wire in offroad lights (front and rear)
finish relocating batteries
install transfer case shifter
install windshield
mount transmission shifter
build a skid plate
install fuel injection
cut fenders
install CB

Thats just for this week

Almost there! :waytogo: Going to be a long week.

i have not started yet and this week is going to be intense with work :(

crap

Painted my trailer over the last week. Adjusted brakes. Decided to paint fender wells so pulled the wheels off. Tires looked so so when I adjusted the brakes, in the dark. Holy crap they are bad. Tread looks good. It is the blistering that I will not go over the Rockies with.

I guess it is just money. Being retired, it hurts though.

Pick up my trans tomorrow, put it together, install w/ doubler and the driveshaft, install the m/c and bleed the brake system are next up....after that its seatbelts, and a couple saftey/required equipment items, then a bunch of small stuff like bumpers, winch, lights, etc.

Rear tow point is done

Mounted the CB

Installed dual battery isolator

New tires for the tow rig are on the way

Moved all fuel lines and selector valve to outside the frame rail on the tow rig to prevent vapor lock

Adjusted the trailer brakes

Cleaned out trail tool bag (now i can find stuff)

Still need to mount seats in the Blazer (hopefull today), and install a wood spaced under the carb on the tow rig (to help prevent the fuel in the carb from boiling)

Getting Close :waytogo:

We adjusted our trailer brakes as well. Need to turn the gain way down now. :doah: Apparently we needed to adjust them some time ago.

Driving along yesterday and stopped at a traffic light and noticed the idiot in front of had license plates that were several months expired. Suddenly got a sinking feeling and realized mine show 7 of 2011 and with the grace period that meant they were done after yesterday. Looked at the watch hmm just after 5 pm.:doah:

So today took a different vehicle and renewed both. I figured valid plates might be a worthwhile upgrade for the bash.

Wife asked if the a/c worked. Looked for the leak today. Fixed 2. Blows cold now. Will see if it holds or more leaks need to be found.

We did the exact same thing for the tow rig today. Plates expired July so we got in under the wire...

A/C in your trail rig and you live in Colorado .

We Coloradans are highly allergic to heat. Bad things happen to us when exposed to temps over 90 for any period of time. It's like feeding the gremlins after midnight.

Although Wade is an import from So Cal it sounds like at least his wife has already come down with the heat allergy.

It's nice up here right now. low 50s at night low to mid 80s during the day. I love my life here.
