Yah I've had the 20 ton press for years.
HF makes some decent stuff. You just have to be selective. I have one of the old composite 1/2 drive ratchets. I have bounced on it with a 6 ft bar on it. Broke my Matco, broke my buddy's snap on. HF ratchet took it like a champ lol. It's not awful as a ratchet. YRMV.
Oh and in another thread WD40 in gallon containers is in every HF I have ever been in

The US General tool boxes are very good. I haven't seen anyone mention the hydraulic table/cart. I don't have one but have used one on a few occasions. Back saving awesomeness

ETA: Any tool that says "Chome Vanadium" should be a good quality tool.

big jack stands, 1/2 inch impact sockets, had an angle grinder I abused for years got so hot several times it would burn my hands through gloves and smoking I would let it cool and it would still work, that poor thing. It finally gave up the ghost and I bought a different one but for the price it served me well. Drill bits, grinding discs, and sanding discs. Just got some furniture sliders, some wheeled carts with wood frames.

6" DA polisher (with a few mods) I have been very happy with.
The 2000 pound transmission jack saved me a $2500 transmission swap in my semi.

Damaged my 30" toolbox/roll cart. Unloading it from the back of a semi trailer with the forklift and ran over a rock which knocked the box off of the forks from about 6ft off the ground. Toolbox fell upside down onto the gravel. The spring latch for the bottom drawer flew apart and the whole cart now has a gangster lean going on

Me too. Never seem to drop in price and coupon won't work on that item....
I picked up one of the $9.99 4.5" grinders the other day to replace one of mt $9.99 TSC grinders that died.
I have one of their engine stands and load levelers from an engine swap a couple years ago. Also 3 sets of their jack stands and one of the older 3 ton floor jacks.
My smaller drill press may be from there. My little horizontal band saw and disc/belt sander both are.

Sure wish I had their gantry right about now
Paid $200 for mine with a 1k winch on it. Added to the cross beam to make it 11 feet wide. Mounted it to the floor.
Held a700 pound transmission.
This is a VW engine going on a stand. Used to use my engine hoist for lifting. This is so much easier.

I imagine it would work great for lifting bodies off frames. How did you get one for, did I read that right, $200?
Guy wanted it out of his garage. Then I did $11k worth of work on his El Camino. So I really won on that deal.
Just make a cheap wood one. Heres pics of one in action that you can use as a model. Worked great.
