The main difference between the two is the 4600 has a lot more rebound damping. Less compression.

From everything I have heard, you should run the bilstien 5100s once you have the truck lifted. I bought the 4600s because they are for stock height trucks and are slightly firmer for better on road handling.I'm running Rancho 5000's, they are OK. It's what I could afford at the time. I'm looking into new springs from ORD to lift the rig enough to run 33's or 35's ( haven't decided yet) don't want to change drive line angle very much, I would like some advice on that from you guys, and will change shocks at that time.
I have the 5100's and some Fox 2.0's. I love them both. I like the 5100's that are on my DD, and the price tag to go along with them.

The Fox's are stronger by far. 7/8" shaft brings all the strengths. Also, a lot more tune ability. I paid $150 for all 4 of my Fox shocks. Otherwise, I would be going with the 5100's. They are the best of both worlds for what you will ask of them.Alrighty, Greg. As someone who has been thinking about both of these options, how would you compare them? I've found only one source as cheap as $150 for Fox 2.0x12", the others are closer to $200 apiece. That sounds pretty steep vs. the $80 that the 5125s are running. What benefit do you get for the extra cost?![]()

They were a deal I stumbled on via Craig's list. He was asking $250, and I talked him down to $150.
