I switched from V belt to serpentine. My AC is now on the passenger side. I'm trying to buy a new AC hose for the compressor, part 9 in the picture, with compressor #5. My old setup came off my 85, so it's not #32-0726. Which part number do I need that represents the picture. This is exactly what I need.

I did the same thing. I'm going to order a hose assy for a 89-91...#32-0729 is what you need. I don't know about the compressor you need. If my 86 doesn't work, I'll get a 89 Sanden. fwiw, I already swapped mine to r134....

57.79$ at rock auto...clicky :waytogo:

I'm thinking of doing the same thing mostly to get the newer AC pump. Did you pull the brackets off a vortec motor or did you just swap belts? Subscribed.

Totally forgot about RockAuto. I ordered the hose, new dryer, and O-ring kit :thumb:

Saved some money, sweet:D

From LMC I got some anit squeak pads, filler hose, and vent hose. I didn't do my homework, should have asked the brotherhood how their tank pads are. Just gunna have to cross my fingers.

For the 89-91 era serpentine belt -

I replaced mine several months ago....had to get an AC Delco one as the "Murray" from Autozone/Oreilly's was incorrect.

Part Number 153867

I got mine at "right now auto parts"......a great AC Delco source. Buy over $75 and get free shipping. This is where I got all of my A/C parts.

Paid $62.83 for it but it looks like they don't have it anymore.

Found it on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-15-3867-Compressor-Hose-Assembly/dp/B000C9FCPW

Part number might also be 15641231

I'm going through this right now. I ordered an 89-91 hose, but all of the parts stores I looked at stock the same hose as my stock 85 one:

The short answer is that none of the parts stores carry the A/C hoses for 89-91 square nose (gas) unless you have rear A/C. AC Delco is the only thing on the market.

With the compressor on the right, I worked over my stock lines with a conduit bender to get everything connected, but the return line still has a bit of a twist to it. It looks silly with such long hardlines coming up out of the compressor and stretching about a foot towards the coolant overflow tank. They need to go down from the compressor.

I tried the Camaro lines - the small hose reaches the condenser perfectly, but the large one is too short and bent wrong to reach the accumulator.

The pickup-truck lines have a bend to reach the condenser, whereas the square-nose condenser requires a straight shot here.

RockAuto no longer lists anything related to 15-3867. For 90-91 Blazer, they only show the hoses for "with rear a/c" (yeah, right). This is the only hose set they sell for 89-91 square nose, whether truck, sub, blazer.

Amazon shows it and I believe it to be correct:

I also see it on eBay, but no hits for any other car parts site.

the first pic looks like the hose in my diesel (90)...I can't locate a unit for one with rear a/c, only without.

on my 86 I swapped in a serpentine rig, using a hose for an 89 5.7 rig...:waytogo:

This is what the DS compressor lines look like with the compressor on the PS. They kind of push against the battery in a big loop. I had to bend the complex hard line off the evap to move that whole thing back and do a lot of bending on the hardlines coming off the compressor.

I ordered the 15-3867, so maybe I can get some pics of that when they're in.

I haven't found any parts store selling it now. Maybe you bought it some time back? Surely it must have been available at some point. I'm guessing that since it's unique just to serpentine square nose trucks w/o rear air, the demand has fallen off enough that the aftermarket has stopped supporting it.

I'm confused, too on the transition to serpentine. I have seen trucks at least '89 still sporting the V-belts. I'm guessing this is why they can sell you the DS compressor hose set and say that it's for the 89-91. It would be nice if they specified.

This link now points to the DS compressor hose set. No search results found for 32-0729. Actually, even Google only points to this thread, although LMC does still list a 32-0729 for $109. Is that a 4 seasons part number? I found the 15-3867 on Amazon for $91, but ordered on eBay for $62 + $10.

I don't know, wasn't there a pic in the first post...?

looking up the part #, it looks like you got the right one...

I am going to wind up splicing the rear half (the y) of this hose

with the compressor side of the diesel hose...oughta be interesting.

I know there had to be some diesel 'burbs with rear a/c out there somewhere...

Found one that fits right.

Kind of an update on an old post:

Both the ACDelco 15-3867 and the 15641231 GM part are discontinued. I searched high and low and used the interchange at one of the dealerships I work for and found NONE. So I went to the local GM distribution warehouse and opened 50+ hoses to find one that works.

The ACDelco number is 15-30182. The universal number is 55852. The hose needs a small amount of tweaking to be perfect but its a great fix. It was originally used on 1993 GM trucks with 5.7L with passenger side R4 compressor. It fits the original condenser and accumulator.
