in my tranny? it's starting to get on my nerves a little bit (sm465). i've been riding my POS bicycle alot recently, and it's got a sproket that's out of true so i can't seem to get away from gear chatter no matter how its done!

SierraClassic said:just make sure you don't add too much, otherwise your oil will foam while you drive. If you've got a removable hump, pop the top off after your first long trip, and see if it looks like snot, or not
good info!sweetk30 said:the newer nv series trannys have kevlar /carbon fiber coated syncros . and those trannys need the thin oil to reach all the areas better. dont add thick oil or additives to them. it will eat the tranny up in around 10k miles or less.![]()
i'll keep that in mind for when it's useful to me... if i can ever get ahold of one of those.
