family and friends rode dritbikes in this area for last 50 years. Many people did. It's dead center of the desert. One day, I'm out with a couple friends. Return to camp and find an officer there. He was really suspicious of me cause we parked our trucks hidden.
I simply told him I always park here, I never like to be in the open. My family and friend have been ridding this desert longer than you've been alive and that I had no idea it was private property. He took my info and said if I'm caught again, arrest and impounding will happen. Said "cool, c ya".
Here in CA, they are clamping down on offroading. Places that are open, are now smaller than they ever have been. Even with higher funding and more offroaders, they are still closing or shrinking lands specifically designated for offroading. It's all bullsh1t, even if you do stay legal. Even the EPA is in on it, trying to control "dust" pollution by farms, they consider OHV areas "unnecessary dust pollution" and what them closed.
