89 chevy suburban 1500. 4x4 tbi 350 with OD and 33inch tires. Average's 13-15mpg with a mix of city and hwy. 400 miles a week plus a few weekend road trips.
Its comfortable, powerfull, handles any situation I need it to, carrys everything and is even reliable for 3-4 weeks at a time with out any repairs.
In the summer I sometimes drive my 65 thunderbird, 5300lbs, 400plus hp big block 390. never figured out the gas milage, but lets be realistic it aint great.
Tried the honda crx HF thing for about a month last year. 64mpg hwy 45-50 city. Would have been fun if I were on a track with other go carts. I hated it. No power, your ridding in a tin can 4 inches from the ground. Could not carry anything at all, and a ford explorer looked like a it could have been a 40 ton earth mover after looking up from that little rear view mirror. Add in an insurance bill 3x higher than my burban and it was on ebay and gone in a week.
I did use the gas prices(and the fact that I have always loved them as just cool vehicles) as an excuse to buy a 4cyl this week however. I should have a 59 Jeep cj5 to play with this summer. Yes I know they aren't great on gas and ride like a 3 leg horse on the highway, but don't ruin my fun by reminding me.
Overall gas prices suck, but nothing I can do about it, I need and like to drive cars that require more gasoline. I just accept it.

The K5 used to be a DD but its more of a play thing now. Doesn't matter how I drive that its a constant 8mpg. need a tune up bad!
