heres a way to Triple your MPG have the Transmission go out and just Tow your truck around!! Thats what happend to me. Almost everytime the truck breaks down is on a full tank of gas... lifes a bit*h /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

I manage 17-20 depending on how much freeway I do. 5" of lift, 39.5's...about 6300lbs of ugly./forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Oh yeah, it's a 6.2 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I hear you there. If you don't keep a fair amount of stupid pedal in the corners with the welded rearend they truck likes to jump and buck alot, so you have to keep some foot in it, and it doesn't help MPG. Personally I don't even try and measure anymore. I don't want to know, and try not to think about it. If I had to guess I would guess 6-8 intown, and 9-10 on highway. One reason for the poor numbers it the fact that I can't time my motor right now because I think my damper has slipped, and also moving up in elevation 4000ft. has caused the carb to run rich.

When my blazer was little (stock) it got around 7.5, best tank was 10mpg, around town. Since I lifted it im not sure but I just got all my new guages in and the speedos accurate now, so well see what I get.
