Truck is back on the road. Everything from the u joint at the axle shafts out is brand new. Problem i'm getting now is that something is getting too hot. I drove about 5 miles and saw a little bit of smoke coming from the hub. What could this be? When i put the inner wheel bearing in i didnt use a race because my buddy helping me said he thought that the new spindle came with a race inside it. Is that right? Could it be brake fluid i spilled heating up? Because i replace the caliper and pads and rotor since i was already there and spilled a good bit of fluid on them when i was bleeding it out. Or could i have tightened the axle nuts too much? I hand tightened them but i didnt put too much force onto them. I pretty much got them like i would get a valve cover bolt.
Bearings need races! Course it sounds like you need new bearing again if you didn't install the race.
