I searched around and couldn’t find enough. I have a bad wheel stud up front.. and frankly the other studs don’t look so good. What is the process to change the wheel studs up front? Standard 10 bolt / 6 lug.

Do the hubs needs to come out to change the studs?? I know how to change the hubs ( just did this last week) I guess I’m lost once you get behind the hubs where the big 4 prong nut is in the back. I know it needs a special socket.

Also – I guess it’s a good idea to give the wheel bearing some attention while I'm in there? What is the process here? Is it just easier to buy a whole new wheel bearing assembly with the new bearing already pressed in ? I’m sure they need some attention too.

take the it apart, hud and disc off.. pound the old studs out, get the new ones in slowly ive heard, assemble and donde.

simple process

go to paypal.com
send my 150 bucks
and I'll send you my 8 lug outers, calipers, brackets, new seals, bearings, and races
install
be happy

:)

Do like bot0611 said. While everything is apart, check over the races and bearings for any signs of wear, like ridges, shavings, knarling (sp?), lines etc. If they are good, pack the bearings with hi-temp grease, install new seal on back of disc, torque nuts and be happy

Like k85 said....torque your nuts and be happy.

On a more serious note, make sure you get those new studs hammered ALL the way in
don't try to use the log nuts to seat them. Also retorque your lug nuts after a bit, them be happy
