I want to paint my 90' Suburban soon and I'm wondering which paint is easy to maintain and don't need much attention(not that I don't care for my vehicle however I don't see the need for flashy paint).

P.S glossy shiny paint is good now but later it becomes boring. Most others who have vehicle with glossy paint after they get a vehicle along with out of the showroom floor , later becomes chipped or rusted because of lack of care for the glossy paibt

Glossy. Gets lines and stuff easy but you can run a buffer on it and clean it right up. Flat and matte its permanent

Previous owner painted mine matte white rattle can style. Dirt just sticks to it and worse being white. Semi-gloss might be alternative middle ground.

I've always voted for the roll on oil based paint from Rustoleum. Mine still looks damn good for not caring about it. Painted 12/2013 and is still shiny and holding. Will come out much better than a can

Scott has seen it up close :)

Painted my truck with single stage urethane. Not as glossy as a two stage color/clear paint job, but doesn't soak up stains like a matte finish.

I am thinking about a wrap on mine. Just started on the primer and top coat of semi flat and will wrap later

I painted my '56 Chevy pickup with gloss black Rustoleum ,years ago on a hot august day ,using sponge brushes and rollers, and after a few coats it looked pretty darn good..

I left it looking "ripply" and after it dried it did smooth out a lot,no worse than a little orange peel you'd get with an rookie spray gun job...after a couple months I buffed the crap out of it with 3M super duty compound and it came out looking better than many sprayed paint jobs..

I painted my van with similar paint from a farm supply store, but I did use a spray gun,not a good one either--thinned the paint with Naptha as instructed on the can,and it came out pretty good,I did get some runs in it though...and wasn't too upset, anything looked better than it did with the clear coat and original paint peeling off in sheets like it had leprosy...now,15 years later, its faded and chalky, but if I rub it with a rag ,the shine is still underneath ..I bet it'd buff out good..
