who else here drives without wearing a seat belt?

Not only is it a $250 fine in NV, I've spent enough time in desert race cars to leaves a good appreciation for seat belts.

I got pulled over in my 73 tail light out. I was on my way home with the bulb. But he said I'm gonna have to write you a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt.

I paused and said slowly.....Look I know I'm fat, then I pulled the seatbelt out. He got so red was super embarrassed. Only a lap belt in a 73 thought had never crossed his mind.

Been there, done that... except mine was just shitty wiring from the PO. Kicked the rats rest of wiring under the dash, tailights came back on, cop told me he used to have an old 75(mine was a 76) so he understood, gave me a warning/his phone number and told me to come by and pick up some spare parts he still had laying around in his garage. Best run in with the law I've ever had.

I had the same thing happen in a 1977 C30 dually I once owned (not the fat part ), which only had lap belts. The officer actually wrote the ticket first, and as he was handing it to me to sign I unlocked the belt to show it to him. He had to go through a bunch of hassle to void the ticket.
