whts the easiest way to chg a oil pan 97 k3500

Hi I need to chg the oil pan in a 97 k3500 Vortec 350 seperate the frt carrier or jack the motor OR ??? thanks

OK Thanks my buddy who's a Fud dealer mecanic is thinking of doing it So I'm trying to figure whats the easiest way.He chkd Alldata and he didn't find it to helpful.Figures being a fud mecanic

Dropping the differential isnt that hard, and Im pretty sure its the only way the pan is coming off of there...

Didnt take but a few minutes to get it out really, no more than 30 min. Here's what it looks like with it out of the way

No problem, now mind you, that picture is of my 1/2 ton but the only difference really is the diff in your truck is slightly larger, so shouldnt be anything to different between the 2.
