they are just 1" long pieces of tube. If your crossmember is sitting directly against the frame, your good. If the spacers are in between the frame and crossmember you remove the spcers and sit the crossmeber flat to the frame. Then you put the spacers on the inside of the frame, run the bolt through and nut on top.

this is with it dropped like when i got it. now the spacers are inside the rail.

Hmm, I think my spacers are below the frame AND the cross member. You know, as opposed to inside the frame rail.

here is what i made with some 1 inch plate and a cutting torch
reason they are so long is the frame was bent and i used them to help pull the frame straight

The spacers are supposed to be below everything. The crossmember touches the frame, then the spacers are under the crossmember, then the bolts go through it

My spacers were above the frame. My father was the original owner of the truck and the trans/t-case had not been removed until I got the truck.

that's weird, my 89 and my 88 k5s both had the t-case mounted this way, with the spacers under the crossmember. I don't get it

The spacers on my Blazers are also both under the crossmember too I don't know if that is original, but it seems odd that they would both be that way. I think I'll move them on top of the frame - less likely to get bent that way.

All of the stock late k5's (89-91) I've seen had the spacers below the crossmember on the ends of the bolts unless the owner has moved them. I'm sure that was done at the factory.
