Why is this engine pissing oil?

The K&N filter did the same thing also. I usually get a Wix, but the only place to get them near me is a few miles, except I went into Kragen last week and saw a bunch on the shelves.

I will try to put everything back to how it should be, another new filter, new bypass and bolts and see what happens. Hope it works.

Put 2 bolts in a new oil filter adapter and your problem should be gone. One bolt will give you a leak as the pressure will force the filter away from the block. So get some bolts.

Not sure if it makes a difference, and I can't remember if I put one on my 350 when I installed it, but when I tore down this 454 there was a gasket between the oil filter adapter and block.

Is the gasket you are talking about the same as the fiber disk that this picture is talking about?

The oil filter adapter contains a fiber-disk and spring bypass valve. Make sure everything is clean and that the valve is positioned correctly in the housing (arrow).

get the bolts only long enough to engage 1.5 X Diameter of thread. Then it won't bottom out on the block.
