Wife's 67 Power Wagon Build -Cage complete!

Much more to do today.

I'm back to the shop floor to try and finish the section in the box today.:dunno:

Next weekend I'll do the tie ins to the cab cage, frame, sliders and the rear fender DOM tube edging as well as the rear posts being mounted off the rear bumper plates at the frame.:D

Looking GREAT! I wonder what happens if a fat guy tried to sleep in a tent like that.:dunno: Maybe sleeping on the ground again! Lol:whistle: Looks great!

Have any of us really grown up????

Looks like the most wicked tree fort ever!

Great work,looks cool too. :thumb:

That is funny....

I thought the same thing when I climbed in to see how sturdy it would be.:haha:

Mind you, the wife wasn't with me for the ultimate test....

last work for today completed...

Tied in the box side and the rear cage to the suspension hoops.
This will later have a brace inside the fender to the outer tube lip, in case of side impact....

Added some handles---a great suggestion from a friend who stopped by and helped out.

Made a big mess of the work area so now I need to get things ready for the crew in the morning...:doah:

If anyone has a suggestion or sees something that needs addressing, don't hesitate to chime in.....I appreciate Members feedback!!!

fantastic work again man! you did such a fantastic job on those fender exo-skeleton tubes that I forgot they were there until you mentioned tying into them. everything looks great. can't wait to see all that tube painted blue!

Paint will really make it look sharp.

Painting the blue next weekend.. :woot:

I'll post more then.

Truck looks great! :thumb: I really like how you did the wheel openings.

Have you thought about going to the Vintage Power Wagon Rally in Iowa? Great trail rides, but I would hate to see that paint scratched on the trails from the trees. Here is my truck rolling over out there.

Sweet rig Mister!!!!!
How did you and the truck manage after that accident???
I know those beasts are tough as can be but that had to beat the crap out of you..??

As far as scratches go, both our trucks have countless scratches too, they don't seem to show in the pics.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out!

Thanks, I was great (didn't even get a bruise), the truck suffered sheet metal damage, broken traction bar, 1 tire debeaded, striped steering pitman arm. I changed the pitman arm and was in the truck pull the next night. You can see some of the damage in the video.

Glad you were not hurt, we can all fix the damage to our trucks, cant always say the same for ourselves...

Amazing that the damage was so minor!
Thanks for the clip links!
The Vintage power wagon meet looks cool, I don't think they would have seen anything like the Wife's rig attend before..??
Unfortunately this year's holiday time is already booked doing runs with the CK5ers---Silver Lake, and Blazer Bash.

May be a thought for next year..

Cage looks awesome:thumb: just like everything else. And the tent is sweet.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Can't wait to see yours and Kelly's rigs in July so I can admire the craftsmenship in person and not through pictures.

Great work! Looks freekin awesome. Agree with nate, will be way cooler in person.

I feel like we should invest in some DOM and knock out some cages with all you professionals that will be in the building in july

Thanks a bunch guys!!

We can't wait to do the same!

To check out the different rigs and meet members is gona be as cool as wheeling together!!
